Ponte dei Sospiri is a baroque stone bridge located on the side of Palazzo Ducale near the Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy. There are several bridges on the canal channel, and Ponte dei Sospiri is a sealed arch bridge building, looking from the inside to the outside, only through the small windows on the bridge. The two ends of the bridge of sighs connect the court and the prison. It is one of the most famous bridges in Venice.

It is said that it be named after prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment or capital punishment by the Supreme Court in the Palazzo Ducale. When they walked from Palazzo Ducale to the prison, they could see the "last sunlight", plus the gloomy in side the bridge, often made people who walk through sigh continuously.

If you visit the Palazzo Ducale, you can also walk on Ponte dei Sospiri to experience the feeling that prisoners had.
